Earth, Air, Water: Consumerism’s Effect on Nature

As a senior in the honors program at Southern New Hampshire University, I completed a thesis project. For my thesis, two of my best friends and I (the only graphic designers in the honors program) worked together to curate an exhibit in SNHU’s art gallery, the McIninch Art Gallery. Each of us took an element of nature and researched how aspects of consumerism affect that element. My element was earth, and I looked at it through four major categories: deforestation, palm oil, endangered species, and ecotourism. A gallery of my pieces for the show can be found below. The research for this project was completed from fall 2018 to spring 2019, so some data may no longer be accurate.
